JOHNSON, Lloyd M.

Of Desert Hot Springs, CA and Spokane, WA, passed away
suddenly on August 12, 2007 at his home in Desert Hot
Springs. He was born in Lakeside, AZ on April 4, 1918,
the 9th of 13 children, to Louis and Theresa Flake
Johnson. Two brothers, Wendell Johnson of Colville, WA
and Doyle Johnson of Salt Lake City, UT and a sister,
Tess Rahn of Glendale, AZ survive. He was a veteran of
WWII, having served in the European Theatre with the
Army Combat Engineers from August, 1942 to October,
1945. Later he was a general contractor (L.M. Johnson,
Inc.) in Spokane, specializing in road construction,
from 1958 to 1982. He was a member of the Associated
General Contractors and the El Katif Shrine in
Spokane. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Madeline, at
their home in Desert Hot Springs; two sons, Bernie
Johnson of Spokane Valley and Terrance Johnson and his
companion Lois Folmer of Nine Mile Falls, WA; and two
stepdaughters, Shari and Michael Druzbacky of
Goldsboro, NC and Laura and Mick Taylor of Scappoose,
OR. Also surviving are grandsons T.J. Johnson of Nine
Mile Falls and Brandon Johnson of Seattle;
stepgrandsons Josh Osborn of Jackson, WY and Derek
Druzbacky of Goldsboro, NC; stepgranddaughter Chelsea
Druzbacky of Goldsboro, NC and numerous nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife,
Judy Johnson, in August, 2000. Friends and family are
invited to a gathering honoring his memory on
Saturday, August 18th, from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 PM at
Cafe American-Percy's, 10502 E. Sprague Avenue in
Spokane Valley. For those wishing to, memorial
