Dennis Russell Johnson
Dennis R. Johnson, retired FBI special agent, passed away at his Camarillo, CA home
on February 5, 2004 after a long illness.
Dennis was born in Kansas City, MO on July 1 1940 to Delaine and Ann Johnson. As a
1958 graduate from Monroe High School and a 1963 graduate from WSU, Dennis
entered the Air Force as a security police officer. He was stationed in the Mekong
Delta during the Vietnam conflict.
After his discharge from the USAF in 1968, Dennis joined the FBI as a special agent
and was stationed in various regions of the country until his assignment to the Los
Angeles field office, from which he retired in 1994.
Dennis leaves behind his wife, Bettie, of 35 years; his sons and daughters-in-law, Brent
DeLaine and Abby, and Matthew Dennis and Sarah; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick
and Roxy of Oro Valley, AZ, and Steve and Joan of Edmonds, WA; sister and
brother-in-law, Susan and Larry Clore of Kansas City, MO; and several nieces and
nephews.
