| Louis K. Jones Louis K. Jones of Federal Way passed away on July 24, 2000, after and courageous battle with cancer. Lou was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania on February 17, 1924. He served his country as an Infantryman with the Third Army in Europe during World War II. He then attended Gettysburg College and went on to a long career in the computer industry until his retirement. His years of study of Civil War history opened a new chapter in his life when he began to lecture to local groups and to teach Civil War history classes to Seniors at Highline Community College in Federal Way. Lou was an active member of the noon Kiwanis Club in Federal Way, and a faithful member of the Church of the Good Shepherd. He is survived by Jeanne, his wife of 52 years, daughter Meg Jones and husband Denis Merrill of Olympia, and son Ken Jones and wife Karla of Los Banos, California. His grandchildren are Matthew, Adam and Julia Shelton, Rachel, Kala, Casey, Megan and Ethan Jones, and Samantha Wilburn. He was a gentle, loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by them and by all of the many lives he touched. He was a kind man, a quiet and gentle man who enjoyed sharing his life with others and brought goodness to everyone he knew. We offer our deepest appreciation to Dr. Senecal and his caring staff and those on 10A at St. Joseph Hospital who showed such loving kindness to Lou during his illness.
