Edith Julia Jensen
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, in Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary for Edith Julia Jensen, who died Sept. 11 at age 91. Mrs. Jensen was born July 1, 1909, in Salem, Mo. Her maiden name was Allen. She moved to Portland from Border, Texas, in 1944, and was a cook for Mac's Pit in Milwaukie for 10 years, retiring in 1975. She held all offices and was several times president of the Degree of Honor Lodge. In 1932, she married Albert Jensen; he died in 1977.
Survivors include her daughters, Opal Shay and Margaret Gerttula; son, Harold; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Private interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to a favorite charity.
