| Paul A. IRWIN, Jr. Paul Irwin of Olympia, WA passed away September 22, 2006 unexpectedly while vacationing. He was 70. He was born and raised in St. Louis and received his Masters degree in Healthcare Administration from St. Louis University. His profession and life's work was as a Hospital Administrator and Healthcare Executive/Consultant primarily in Chicago and in Washington State. He retired in 2001. Through his leadership during his career, he made a difference in the lives of many patients and employees. He adored his family. In addition to his wife and best friend, Rena, he is survived by three children, daughter, Mary and her husband, Paul Ishizuka, son, Mark Irwin and step-daughter, Danna Blattmann. He also leaves his sister, Barbara Irwin, his former wife, Joan, former daughter-in-law, Sarah and her husband, Mark VanAusdahl, eleven grandchildren, Sean, Erica, and Megan Duckart, Lauren, Kristen, Kevin, Patrick, Katie, and Andrew Ishizuka and Tara and Brit Irwin and many cherished friends. His father and mother, Paul Sr. and Adele preceded him in death. Paul had an unusual zest for life, an engaging personality, quick wit and magnetic sense of humor. Paul had many gifts and talents. He loved music and had an accomplished crooning voice. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan, confident each year they will take the pennant. He loved his home and garden and enjoyed beautifying both. He was a thoughtful, kind and generous man. He enjoyed entertaining and had a selfless desire to make other people in his life happy. He had a deep faith and was highly principled. He was larger than life and will never be forgotten. Rosary - 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2006 - Bonney Watson Funeral Home, 1732 Broadway, Seattle. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, September 28, 2006 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 9450 NE 14th St. , Bellevue, WA. Internment will follow at Holyrood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in his honor to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, National Council of the United States, 58 Progress Parkway, St. Louis, Missouri 63043-3706.
