| A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2004, in the Forest Grove Elks Lodge No. 2440 in Forest Grove for Albert C. "Red" Hopkins, who died July 20 at age 81. Mr. Hopkins was born June 16, 1923, in Casa Grande, Ariz., and was raised in San Dimas, Calif. He served in the Army during World War II in Europe and moved in 1967 to Cornelius. He was a cable splicer for GTE for 36 years. In 1958, he married Beatrice "Bea" Coots. |
| Survivors include his wife; daughter, Barbara J. Hensley; stepdaughter, Barbara L. Flanagan; and two grandchildren. |
