| Frank C. HENRY, M.D. Born September 27, 1912 in Wright City, Missouri. Died September 3, 2006. Dr. Henry was a noted Seattle surgeon who initiated innovative programs at Children's Hospital and Swedish Hospital. He worked with the Institute of Applied Physiology and Medicine to develop hyperbaric and Doppler techniques and was part of the clinical faculty at the University of Washington Medical School. Dr. Henry graduated from James Millikin University and the University of Illinois. During WWII, he was a Medical Corp Lieutenant in the Pacific. After the war, he moved to the Northwest and became an avid outdoorsman. He was very athletic and enjoyed skiing, hunting, boating, scuba diving and tennis. He had boundess energy and always knew how to make every event special and memorable. Frank was a loving and devoted husband, inspirational father and father-in-law and a doting and involved grandfather. He was preceded in death by his eldest daughter, Diana (Alan) Hovland. Frank is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bettie, and daughters, Sally (Jeff) Fiorini, Betsy (Richard) Kirby and Nancy Jean Henry, as well as 5 granddaughters. A Reception to celebrate his outstanding and legendary life will be held at the Seattle Yacht Club on Wednesday 9/13/06 at 5:00 p.m. Donations may be made to Children's Hospital and Medical Center.
