Hersel E. Howard
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, in Holladay Park Church of God in Portland for Hersel E. Howard, who died Feb. 6 at age 91. Mr. Howard was born March 30, 1914, in Williamsville, Mo. He later lived in Portland and was a canning and shipping clerk for Libby's, where he worked for 30 years. He sang in the King's Choral Ambassadors. In 1939, he married J. Janette Leach.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Jane; sisters, Virgie Diamond, Lora Huddleston, Laura Porterfield and Maye Grissom; and brothers, Paul and Bill.
