| Elizabeth James Hamilton #Bettie Jim# 1932 - 2006 Bettie Hamilton, age 73, passed away during the afternoon of January 17, 2006 in Guadalajara, Mexico from a stroke. Bettie was born on July 3, 1932 in Jefferson City, Missouri to parents Melinda and James Moore. In 1951, Bettie became the gentle and loving wife of Thomas John Hamilton and together they lived and raised their family in Tacoma, Washington for forty-plus years. Bettie devoted her life to raising her family and her faith. She loved gardening, dancing, and was an avid reader and an awesome crossword and scrabble player. Bettie was a beautiful person inside and out, always graceful and elegant with a wonderful smile and gentle nature. A sensitive and loving person whose goodness touched many lives and she will live forever in our hearts. She is survived by her husband Thomas J. Hamilton and her seven adoring children Victoria Hamilton-Hobson, Jenny Hamilton-Rubin, Linda Lee Hamilton, Thomas Hamilton Jr., Gregory Hamilton, Cheryl Miles and Renee Price and sixteen beautiful grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Bettie was preceded in death by her daughter Catherine Mary Hamilton and grandson Joseph Thomas Hamilton. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 23, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary#s Traditional Catholic Church, 757 138th S., Tacoma, WA 98444.
