Sylvia Bluestone
A funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005, in the chapel of Shaarie Torah Memorial Cemetery for Sylvia Bluestone, who died May 2 at age 72. Sylvia Bastacky was born July 13, 1932, in Braddock, Pa. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh. She moved to Portland in 1963 and was an office manager for Bluestone & Hockley Realty, where she worked for more than 31 years. She volunteered for Robison Jewish Health Center. In 1957, she married Sidney; he died in 2001.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Shenhav and Julie Hockley; son, Steven; and four grandchildren.
