Jessie Jo "JJ" Hunt

Jessie Jo Hunt was born November 18, 1924, in Kansas
City, Missouri. She left this world to go dancing on
September 28, 2005, in Yuma, Arizona, with her family
and beloved puppy, Mia, by her side.
Jessie Jo married Chuck Hunt on November 7, 1945, and
together they led an exciting life, traveling and
living in various states. When Chuck retired from the
Border Patrol, they settled in the Gold Bar/Sultan
area where Jessie Jo worked for Seafirst Bank and
retired with 16 years as a loan officer. She was proud
to have served as Mayor of Gold Bar and was paramount
in putting on Gold Bar's first Nugget Days.
She and Chuck eventually moved to Yuma, Arizona, where
they spent the rest of their days in the sun, some on
the Colorado River at Martinez Lake, and some in the
Yuma foothills. They had 54 years of marriage before
Chuck passed on March 8, 1999.
She is survived by their four children, Chuck (Karen)
Hunt, Jr., of New Castle, Delaware, Gary Hunt, of
Yuma, Arizona, Jeff (Debbie) Hunt of Gold Bar,
Washington, and Melody (Mike) Patrick, of Lake
Stevens, Washington; numerous grandchildren; family;
and friends.
A private service was held at Martinez Lake, Arizona,
where she joined Chuck on the Colorado River.
