Arthur “Pete” Hurley Hartman

Age 81, passed away February 12, 2003. He was born March 1, 1921 in
Benton, PA to the late Herman Hartman and Mildred (Sutliff) Hartman.
He was preced- ed in death by his wife, Louise F. (Young) Hartman. They
had been married for 56 years. He is survived by his three children and
spouses, Arthur Lewis Hartman, Craig M. Hartman (Rosalyn) and Marsha
L. Degenstein (Dave); five grandchildren, one great grandchild; and one
sister, Carolyn Hartman, of Benton, PA. He was a World War II veteran
and served in the Navy aboard the USS Gleaves from 1942-1946. Pete and
Louise moved from Pennsylvania and made their home in Tacoma since
1952. He worked as a civilian at Mc-Chord Air Force Base in the office
machine repair shop until his re-tirement. He loved working in his garden
and being “Mr. Fix It” for his many friends and neighbors. Memorial
services will be held February 20, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Fir Lane Chapel in
Spanaway. Remembrances may be made to Franciscan Foundation for
Health. Fir Lane Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Pub Date:
