Florence A. Hornecker
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, in Happy Valley Evangelical Church for Florence A. Hornecker, who died Oct. 16 at age 100.
Florence A. Gill was born Oct. 1, 1902, in Salem, Mo., and moved to Portland in 1908. She graduated from Gresham High School and was an elementary teacher in Butteville, then a homemaker. In 1926, she married Albert F.; he died in 1981.
Survivors include her daughter, Dareth Powers; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Her daughter Jacqueline Libby died in 1990.
