| Nicholas HODIAK Born: June 16, 1913 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Son of Joseph and Mary Hodiak Love of life and family was most important to Nicholas. Thirty years ago, he courageously recovered from the ravages of a rare endo crine disease, to later battle congestive heart disease, which eventually took his life. Nicholas served in the Merchant Marine dur ing World War II. Although he raised his fami ly in Minneapolis, Minnesota, upon retire ment from the Hartford Steam Boiler Insu rance Company he moved to Seattle to be clos er to family, residing most recently at the An derson Retirement Plaza. With simple tastes and lifestyle, his favorite things were the sea, Puccini, mathematics, and healthful living. He is survived by sisters, Elizabeth Linley and Nellie Dyer, daughter Diane Hodiak, son- in-law John Reuland, and granddaughters, Danielle and Joanna Reuland. Services May 3, 1:30 p.m., Assumption Church, 62nd Avenue N.E. and 32nd Avenue N.E., Seattle, WA. Memorials may be sent in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association.
