Herbert Raymond Howell
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2002, in Bethany Lutheran Church in Portland for Herbert Raymond Howell, who died Feb. 28 at age 86.
Mr. Howell was born March 6, 1915, in Nevada, Mo. During World War II, he served in the Army. He moved from Seattle to Portland in the early 1970s and was president of Northwest Insurance for about 20 years. Later he was an insurance consultant for the state. He was a member of the church.
Survivors include his sister, Velma M. Scott; companion, John Rushong; and caregiver, David Behrend.
