Opal G. Husby, 95 years of age, died July 8, 1997. She was born in Powersville, MO, and had been a resident of Tacoma for 45 years. Opal was a graduate of Central Missouri State College. She taught school for many years for the Tacoma Public School system retiring from Park Ave. grade school. Her memberships included the First Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship. For the past nine years she had resided in the Olympia area. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Husby and grandson, Blake H. Kelley. Survivors include daughters, Shirley (Stanley) Kelley of SutterCreek, CA, Beverly Reines of Olympia, WA and Helen (Robert) Estell of Charlotte, N.C.; 6 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren.
