Helen Virginia Holper
Helen Virginia Holper of West Linn died Aug. 13, 2008, of Alzheimer's disease at age 88.
Helen Virginia Brown was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Carthage, Mo. A graduate of the University of Oregon Medical School of Nursing, she was a registered nurse for 33 years for veterans hospitals in Portland and San Francisco. She lived in West Linn from 1953 to 1970, when she moved to San Francisco. She returned to West Linn in 2003. In 1975, she married Jack Holper; he died in 1990.
Survivors include her sons, David N. Mitchell and John G. Mitchell; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
