| A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2001, in Mt. Scott Funeral Home for Irvin Houston, who died Jan. 21 of cancer at age 75. Mr. Houston was born Oct. 6, 1925, in St. James, Mo. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. After the war, he lived in San Francisco before moving to Portland in the early 1950s. An electrician, he owned Triangle Electric for about 30 years, was an electrical inspector for the Oregon Department of Labor and Industries, and then was a self-employed amusement ride inspector for about the past 20 years. He was a member of the Living Enrichment Center. In 1972, he married Char Johnson. |
| Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sue Ciancio and Patricia Houston; son, Irvin II; and one grandchild. |
| Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to his church. |
