Carolyn Lee Howard
Carolyn Lee Howard, 58, of Battleground, Wash., died Tuesday, Jan. 2,
2001, at Vancouver, Wash. after a long illness. She died of a heart
attack while undergoing dialysis.
Viewing will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel at
Burns Mortuary of Pendleton. Private interment will be Monday at
Olney Cemetery in Pendleton.
Mrs. Howard was born July 2, 1942, at Long Beach, Calif., to Egland
Lamar Carter and Doris Johnson.
She had been a resident of the Heppner/Pendleton area for 25 years.
She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Lexington.
Survivors include her four children, Ken of Battle Ground, Wash.,
Craig of La Grande, Tammy Bortfvit of Pahrump, Nev., and Matt of
Heppner; she was beloved companion of her husband, Larry Ketteler,
and was survived by her father, Ron Woolston, and 11 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes
Association.
Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
