| Memorial service for Audrey Pearl Herman will be 10 a.m. Friday at Bishop Funeral Chapel in Pendleton. |
| Mrs. Herman, 84, of Pendleton, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2000, at Amber Valley Care Center in Pendleton. |
| She was born May 18, 1916, in St. Francis County, Mo., to Neal Clarence and Effie Octava Thurman Pirtle. |
| She came to Pendleton in 1945 and had worked as a waitress for many years, retiring in 1986 after 24 years at the Tapadera Restaurant. |
| Audrey enjoyed playing cards and reading. |
| She had been a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary for 51 years. |
| Survivors include a daughter Joyce Hunnicutt of Cato, N.Y. and a sister, Captola Boyd of Farmington, Mo.; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Billy Rae Basler, two sisters and three brothers. |
