William A. Hitchcock

William A. Hitchcock, beloved husband of Trudy Hitchcock, passed away May
28, 1995 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Franklin, PA, Sept.
21, 1916 and graduated from Franklin High School in 1934. Bill moved to the
Seattle area in 1962 from California where he was employed by Royal McBee
Corporation. He later joined Control Data Corporation from which he retired in
1982. He was an active member of Steel Lake Presbyterian Church in Federal Way
and will be remebered for his dedication to the fellowship and growth of the
church. He enjoyed salmon fishing, woodworking and traveling. He is survived
by his wife, Trudy; sister, Christine (Perry) York, Galt, CA; son, Bill (Sherry),
Cincinatti, OH; stepson, John (Corinne) Becker, Spokane; stepdaughters, Linda
(Mike) Beksinski, Selah, Paula (Chuck) Baumgarten, Olympia; 11 grandchildren, 3
great-grandchildren; nephews, Rick (Linda) York, Bill York; nieces, Cindy (Tom)
Schulner, Tammy Cook; sister-in-law, Betty Bergstrom. Bill touched many lives
and will be greatly missed by all of us. Memorial service will be held at Steel Lake
Presbyterian Church, 1829 So. 308th St., Federal Way, Sat., June 3 at 2 p.m. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to Steel Lake Presbyterian Memorial Fund or
American Institute for Cancer Research.
