| Harold J. Gwynne, Jr. Harold was born May 20, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA. After a short illness he peacefully passed away on July 8, 2006 at his home in Tacoma, with his family by his side. Harold was the only child of Harold, Sr. and Mabel Gwynne. The family moved to Spokane, WA in 1935. He graduated from Lewis & Clark High School and attended the University of Washington. Harold served 2 years in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He would tell his family that he fought the #Battle of Ft. Lewis#. It was at this time that Harold met and married his beloved wife, Jane, who preceded him in death. What a reunion in heaven that must be! Harold was an architectural draftsman, working most recently with Burr, Lawrence, Rising & Bates Architects until his retirement. He was a member of First Lutheran Church and The Elks Club. Harold was a devoted, loving family man and a friend to everyone he met. Survivors include his children: Nancy Meadows (Frank) of Seattle, Laura Wicklander (John) of Tacoma, Harold Gwynne, III (Tami) of Sumner, and Karin Melvard (Scott) of Tacoma; 6 grandchildren: Christal (Jon), Lea (Curt), Mark, Jeff (Megan), Morgan (Bob), and Angela; 7 great grandchildren: Ashley, Matthew, Jon, Emma, Jake, Cruize, and Connor; and many nieces & nephews. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Remembrances to Multi Care Hospice would be appreciated.
