Howard Sterling Gass

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003, in Robert Bird Cemetery in Stafford for Howard Sterling Gass, who died April 11 at age 87.
Mr. Gass was born March 24, 1916, in Duncan, Mo. He was a self-employed contractor and horse ranch owner in Hermiston before moving in 2001 to Oregon City. In 1961, he married Margaret McElligott.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Howard S., David T. and Stephen; daughter, Margaret; brother, Paul; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. His son Donald died in 1991.
