| The funeral for Norton Fred Gaede will be 10 am Friday in the chapel at Burns Mortuary of Hermiston with burial to follow at the Hermiston Cemetery |
| Mr. Gaede, 77, of Stanfield, died Monday, Nov 27, 2000, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. |
| He was born Oct. 6, 1923, at Columbia, Mo., to Chris and Bertha McClouth Gaede |
| He joined the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II |
| On May 25, 1950, he married Zilma Ruth Gaines at Hermiston. They lived in Umatilla, Hermiston, and most recently Stanfield. |
| Mr Gaede enjoyed mechanical work, cars and music. |
| His wife, Zilma, died in 1998. Survivors include sons, Mike of Hermiston and Randy of Echo; daughter, Linda of Stanfield; brother, Gaylord of Portland; three grandchildren and one great-grandson. His parents, three brothers and a sister, also preceded him in death. |
| Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. |
| Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements. |
