Patricia Louise FISCHER

Born Patricia Louise Bevins, Patty Fischer was both
Irish and Catholic; one more the other could not be
told. She came into this world in the spring of 1928
in Los Angeles, California and grew up amid the quiet
beauty of Vallejo between the great wars. After the
family moved to Seattle, and the Second World War was
engaged, a handsome young Navy man named Ferry Fischer
caught her eye at the age of 16; they were married in
1946, when she was 18, thus beginning a marriage of 61
years and a family that will endure far longer.
Church, family and great pride in her Irish heritage
were cornerstones in her life. And Patty's waters ran
deep. She loved, so much, her grandchildren; they were
her pride and she adored them. Patty loved her husband
and her children; they were her life and her strength.
She loved all her family. She was a loving, caring
mother and devoted wife, a good sister and good
daughter, a beautiful lady with a great sense of
humor. Her intuition was unmatched, most likely due to
her connections above, which, when asked about, were
never given away, but unmistakably present. Her caring
and loving heart was, in so many ways, reflective of
her faith and belief in God; nothing could shake her
faith, and it was a part of her being. Down to earth,
always a smile on her lips and a sparkle in her eye,
she brightened any room and anyone around her. Patty
passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007. We all loved
her very, very much, and we will miss her. I will miss
her, more than words can describe. She is survived by
her husband, Ferry; sister, Jackie (Richard); son,
Patrick (Barbara); daughters, Denise (John), Colleen
and Kim (Robert); grandchildren, Molly (Jeff),
Margaret, Michelle, Jacob, Cammae (Donald), Olivia,
Mathew (Erika) and Luke; great grandchildren, Halley,
Kaiden and Nicholas. Donations may be made to the
Alzheimer's Association at 225 North Michigan Avenue,
Floor 17, Chicago, IL, 60601. Funeral Services will be
held at St. Philomena's Church, Des Moines, WA, on
Wednesday, October 10, at 10:00 a.m.
