Georgia Fritz A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007, in the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Sisters for Georgia Fritz, who died April 29 at age 90. Georgia Powers was born April 27, 1917, in Rome, Pa. She graduated from Penn State University and served in the Women's Army Corps. A homemaker, she moved to Sisters in 1984 and to Newberg in 2005. In 1944, she married Alfred H.; he died in 1977. Survivors include her daughters, Elizabeth Fritz Kaliszewski, Carolyn Fritz Rogers and Mary Fritz Laing; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
