| Major Charles F. Foster The Major was born Nov. 28, 1907 in Kansas City, MO and died Jan. 12, 2001 at the age of 93, surrounded by his family and friends. Chuck married Ruth C. Fuller in 1949 and shared his life with her until her tragic death in 1975. Major Foster earned a degree in engineering from Kansas State University, which he put to use in the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a proud and highly decorated member of the military who served in WWII and Korea before retiring in 1961. He had a second career as sales manager in the auto industry, from which her re- tired in 1970. Major Foster is survived by one sister, Martha Hathoway, his daughter, Cathy Foster and her husband Jim of Parkland. his son Charlie Foster and his wife Linda of Gig Harbor, and his son Richard Foster and his wife Shelley of Spanaway. He was also the proud grandpa of Nick, Charlie, Angee, Kyle, Jason, Chad and Jenni. His wisdom, humor and love will be missed by everyone who knew him. Our family would like to thank, from the the bottom of our hearts, Corinne Parker for the tender loving care she bestowed upon our father, physically and spiritually.
