Bernard Flynn
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2003, in Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Portland for Bernard "Barney" Flynn, who died March 4 at age 98.
Mr. Flynn was born Nov. 24, 1904, in St. Joseph, Mo. He moved to the Portland area at age 14. He was the owner and operator of Community Water Co. In the 1930s, he married Mildred "Millie."
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sister Joan Flynn, SNJN, Frankie Martin, Barbara Sheridan, Anita Hoyt, Donna McCormick, Joy Basaraba and Julie McLeod; sons, Tom and Dan; sister, Winifred Dwyer; 30 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
