| Gerald C. Fisher A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, in Forest Grove Seventh-day Adventist Church for Gerald C. Fisher, who died Sept. 17 at age 83. Mr. Fisher was born Jan. 1, 1917, in Lewistown, Pa., and was raised in Williamsport, Pa. He attended Villanova University. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. After the war, he worked in steel and saw mills in Williamsport then moved to Mt. Vernon, Ohio, and was a truck driver for Worthington Foods. Later, he moved to Edmore, Mich., where he was a truck driver for Rhodes Bread until his retirement in 1981. He moved to McMinnville in 1989, and to Cornelius in 1997, and was a member of the church. In 1936, he married Marian Miller. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Rebecca Baker; brother, Jack E. Interment will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to Adventist Disaster Relief Association, 12501 Old Columbia Pike, Silver Springs, MD 20904. Arrangements are by Bronleewe-Bass Funeral Home.
