| Dorathy Eister Feb. 18, 1912 - Dec. 10, 2002 Early on December tenth, Dorathy Eister left this earth to join her beloved husband Harold, to whom she was married for over 50 years. Dorathy is survived by her son Wayne, grandsons Bill, Kevin and Brian, and by two great grandchildren. Dorathy is also survived by a great many friends and admirers who miss her greatly. She wished to make public her heartfelt gratitude for all the love and support she received. Born in Pennsylvania, Dorathy came to the Puget Sound area in 1944, living first in Lakeridge, overlooking Lake Washington, before moving south to Boston Harbor near Olympia, then back to University Place and finally to Fox Island. Dorathy served as a Den Mother and Girl Scout leader, finding time to be PTA secretary/ treasurer, then PTA president. She was a member at large of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. Dorathy volunteered at American Lake Hospital and was active in the Fox Island Historical Society where she especially enjoyed the weekly #Stitch and Bitch# meetings. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 19th at Fox Island United Church of Christ, where Dorathy was a long-time and much beloved member.
