| James A. Egly James Alfred Egly, 77, passed away on January 11, 1998 in Tacoma, WA, after a long illness. Born to James Donald Egly and Ruth Oliver November 15, 1920, in Hughesville, PA, he graduated from Bucknell University, Lewisberg, PA, and served in the Navy as a Lt. during World War II. For many years he enjoyed a career in banking, first at Seattle Trust and Savings Bank, then First Interstate Bank in Seattle and Tacoma, and also Union Bank in Tacoma. He was a graduate of banking schools at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, and University of Wisconsin, Madison, WI. He married Molly Shannon in Seattle on February 3, 1945. Jim was a devoted family man who derived much pleasure from golf (he was the second president of Oakbrook Golf Club), gardening, fishing and reading. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Molly; sons Bruce, Centralia, Paul (Kathryn), Bellevue, John (Jennifer), Spokane; daughters Elizabeth Evans, Tacoma, Jennifer Egly, Bellevue. Grandchildren Erin, Sarah and Bryan Egly; David, James and Thomas Egly; Matthew and Allison Evans. Also survived byhis mother, Ruth Oliver Egly, Hughesville, PA. He was predeceased by his father, James Donald Egly, and his brother, Maurice L. Egly.
