Ida Ferris BEIA

Died peacefully in Des Moines on July 28 at the age of
94 years. Born March 19, 1912 in Queen City, Missouri,
to Emily and Louis Ruth, she grew up in Downing, MO.
She married Ambrose Beia on June 28, 1941 in Chicago,
IL. She moved to Washington State from Chicago, IL in
1983. Most recently, she was a resident of Wesley
Homes Terrace, Des Moines and was a former resident of
Village Green, Federal Way and Rio Verde, Auburn. She
spent over 14 years as a volunteer at Auburn Regional
Medical Center, logging over 10,000 volunteer hours
during that period. She was active in the Order of
Eastern Star and the Rebekah Lodge. She was a lifelong
member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
She is preceeded in death by her husband, Ambrose
Beia, her brothers, John Raymond Ruth and Earl Edward
Ruth, and her sister, Helen Gualandri. She is survived
by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Leonard
Elliott of Auburn, granddaughters, Lisa Ruth Elliott
of Thailand and Lawrie Elliott of Renton, sister,
Jessie Lawson of Ft. Worth, TX, and loving nieces,
nephews, and friends around the country. A Funeral
Service will be held at Price Helton Funeral Home on
Wednesday, August 2 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation is
possible on Tuesday, August 1 from 1:00 - 8:00 p.m.
and before the service on Wednesday. Remembrances
should be sent to the Circle of Concern at Wesley
Homes.
