| Gladys Gray DeRemer Gladys DeRemer, 91, of Arlington, died August 10, 2005. She was born February 4, 1914, in Warren, Pennsylvania, the daughter of John E. and Rose Jones Gray. On November 14, 1946, she married Roy W. DeRemer, of Meadville, Pennsylvania, and in February 1947, they came to Seattle, Washington, where they bought a home and their own business in the North End. In 1959, they purchased a farm on the Jordan Road, near Arlington. From 1965 until 1978, Gladys was employed at the Arlington Times Office, where she made many new friends and became devoted to her work. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; brother, Merritt L. Gray, of North Warren, Pennsylvania; and her sister, Evelyn Dunn, of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Surviving is her daughter, Nadine (John) Wight, of Bothell, Washington; two granddaughters, Kari Anne Wight, and her children, Jasmine and Hunter, and Stacy Wight (Juan) Marquez, and their children, Juan A. and Jocelyn, all of Everett; special nieces, Deanne Harris, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Samantha Dunn, of Los Angeles; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins she loved deeply throughout the East. Gladys appreciated her many friends and enjoyed living a long and happy life. She loved the country life, working in her flowers and yard and feeding the song birds faithfully year in, year out. In her younger years she hunted wild game and fished the ocean, lakes and streams with her husband in our beautiful entire Washington State and Idaho as well. A private family gathering will be held. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery following cre-mation. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Asso-ciation.
