Bert Logan Duncan
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, in Clackamas United Church of Christ for Bert Logan Duncan, who died Aug. 22 at age 88.
Mr. Duncan was born Sept. 12, 1913, in Troy, Mo. He received a bachelor's degree from William Jewell College and a master's degree in theology from Southern Baptist Seminary. He was a Navy chaplain during World War II in the Seabees, and was a minister for congregational churches in Virginia, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. He moved to Portland in 1997. In 1941, he married Edith Rose Halsey; she died in 1992.
Survivors include his daughter, Beverly Johnson; and three grandchildren.
