Joseph J. Drost
Joseph J. Drost, born July 28, 1924 in Somerset, PA, passed away Jan. 11, 1999 at Georgian House in Lakewood, WA. Joseph was released to be with God after a long illness at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Maria Drost, and grandson Joseph Anthony Crean. Joseph was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, and life member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War, Tacoma; DAV Harmony #18; VFW #1428; and LOOM Lakes #1865. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary; son William (Bill); daughters Rosemarie (Dody) McKinney, Susan Griffin (Archie), Laura Drost and Ruby Nicholson (Don); grandchildren Tammy Howard, Paul Crowe, Terry Davis, Allen and Desiree Taladay; great grandchildren Alex, Kaitlyn, Austin and Half; brothers Mike, John, Marty, and Steve; sister Mary; special friends Adrian and Arena; special sister-in-law Birdie Lewis; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Public visitation will be TODAY from 4pm-7pm. Private family viewing will be from 7pm-8pm at Mt. View Funeral Home.
