| Joseph J. Drost, born July 28, 1924 in Somerset, PA, passed away Jan. 11, 1999 at Georgian House in Lakewood, WA. Joseph was released to be with God after a long illness at the age of 74. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Maria Drost, and grandson Joseph Anthony Crean. Joseph was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church, and life member of the American Ex-Prisoners of War, Tacoma; DAV Harmony #18; VFW #1428; and LOOM Lakes #1865. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary; son William (Bill); daughters Rosemarie (Dody) McKinney, Susan Griffin (Archie), Laura Drost and Ruby Nicholson (Don); grandchildren Tammy Howard, Paul Crowe, Terry Davis, Allen and Desiree Taladay; great grandchildren Alex, Kaitlyn, Austin and Half; brothers Mike, John, Marty, and Steve; sister Mary; special friends Adrian and Arena; special sister-in-law Birdie Lewis; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Public visitation will be TODAY from 4pm-7pm. Private family viewing will be from 7pm-8pm at Mt. View Funeral Home.
