Virginia Ann Dienes
A funeral Mass will be at noon Saturday, Sept. 9, 2000, in All Saints Catholic Church for Virginia Ann Dienes, who died Sept. 3 at age 81. Mrs. Dienes was born March 28, 1919, in St. Louis. Her maiden name was Ratermann. She moved to Portland about 1940, and was a waitress for several restaurants until her retirement in 1971. She was a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church and recent member of All Saints Catholic Church. In 1947, she married Conrad Dienes; he died in 1985.
Survivors include her sons, James and Gary; daughter, Marilyn Howe; brothers, Leonard Ratermann and Paul Ratermann; sisters, Rosemary Broeth, Rita Ratermann, Dorothy Ratermann and Leona Arn; and nine grandchildren.
Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum. The family suggests remembrances to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Arrangements are by Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes.
