Bette Lee CHURCH

Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, passed
away peacefully September 20, 2007, from ovarian
cancer. Bette was born July 10, 1926 to Alclo and
Gladys Lawyer in St. Joseph, MO. Survived by her
brother, Bernard and sister, Beulah in St. Joseph,
Missouri, and her children, Billie June Anderson and
son, Barry Lee Van Sickle, her grandchildren, great
grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Bette was noted
for her artistry in everything she did. She took great
pride in her home and landscaped yard. Mom had a love
for painting, but her true passion was dance. She
danced for the United Service Organization, had her
own dance studio, teaching ballet, tap, and chorus
line numbers. She led a busy and active life with
always a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her face.
Her spirituality was very powerful and uplifting in
her church and with all the family. She will be
greatly missed, but will always be in our hearts! Keep
dancing Mom! A Celebration Memorial will be held on
Oct. 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Unity Church in Lynnwood,
16727 Alderwood Mall Parkway, Lynnwood, WA 98037. The
family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the care
and compassion shown by Steven's Hospital and
Evergreen Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to Evergreen Hospice c/o Evergreen Healthcare
Foundation or to American Cancer Association.
