Frances P. 'Betty' Clapshaw 

A service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008, in
the Forest Grove United Church of Christ for Frances
P. "Betty" Clapshaw, who died May 30 at age 86. 
Frances Poe was born Sept. 17, 1921, in Gaston. She
had been a welder and a cook. In 1938, she married
Murray Frye; they divorced. In 1959, she married Dale
Clapshaw; he died in 2007. 
Survivors include her sons, Gerald Frye and Gary
Clapshaw; daughters, Suzanne Frye, Sally Krouth,
Barbara Kaston, Violet Rieder and Marine McBeth; 10
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
