Merrill A. Chatfield A service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, in Willamette National Cemetery for Merrill A. Chatfield, who died Oct. 6 at age 57. Merrill A. Chatfield was born Oct. 13, 1949, in Modesto, Calif., and moved to Portland as a child. He graduated from Washington High School and served in the Marine Corps. He was a truck driver. In 1974, he married Patricia Graves. Survivors include his wife; stepsons, John L. Graves, Tracy Nichols and Dale Nichols; stepdaughter, Camille Wilson; brother, Mel; sisters, Cricket Chatfield DeSylvia and Renee Carson; 26 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
