Robert E. (Bob) COLLINS Sr.

Age 88, died March 9, 2008 in Pacific Specialty and
Rehabilitation Center, after a long illness. Mr.
Collins was born July 19, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA. to
Clara and Frank Collins and he had lived in Washington
for 27 years. Bob served as an Aviation Ordinance
Instructor with the US Navy at Norman, Oklahoma during
World War II. He was a retired steelworker employed at
United States Steel in McDonald, Ohio. After
retirement he was employed at Chartly House in Auburn,
Washington. He was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Girard, Ohio. Bob was also a 50 year member
of the Free and Accepted Masons of both Ohio and
Washington, including; Chapter, Council and Commandry
in Girard and Niles, Ohio; a Life Member of King
Solomon #60 F & AM and R B Palmer Chapter 46 of
Auburn, Washington. He is survived by a son, Robert E.
Collins Jr., two grandsons, Robert E. Collins III and
Walter J. Collins and their families; including three
great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his only sister-in-law, Olga
Hoier of Girard, OH; two nieces and three nephews. Mr.
Collins was preceded in death by his wife Moira Copper
Collins and a brother, John E. Collins of Girard, OH.
A Memorial Service will be held in Auburn, Washington
at King Solomon Masonic Temple, on March 31, 2008 at
4:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date in
Girard, Ohio.
