Frances Rita Chavez
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2007, in St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Portland for Frances Rita Chavez, who died Jan. 18 following surgery at age 61.
Frances Rita Rocha was born Oct. 9, 1945, in Los Angeles. She was a probation officer for Los Angeles County before moving to Portland in 2005.
Survivors include her daughter, Julia P. Hernandez; son, John Pittman; sisters, Susan Dambrakus and Maria Strauss; brother, Ralph Rocha; and two grandchildren.
