CHEANEY, Deborah Marie Stearns (Age 46)

of Moss Bluff, LA died peacefully surrounded by her
loving family and friends at 7 p.m. Wednesday,
November 29, 2006 in her residence. Mrs. Cheaney was
born at Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, MO.
and was a 1978 graduate of Medical Lake High School.
She was the first Dance Drill Team Capt. and won
second place for her school with her team in a 1977
State competition. She graduated from M'Lady School of
Beauty and worked as a cosmetologist for her mother at
Sharies Ph D in Medical Lake, WA. She continued in
this profession after moving to Moss Bluff in 1988.
She received an honorary degree from Sowela Technical
Institute in computer programming. Mrs. Cheaney lived
in Moss Bluff for the past 18 years. She worked for
the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a computer
programmer for 10 years. Mrs. Cheaney was a member of
Gloria Dey Lutheran Church in Spokane, WA., later
transferring to St. Johns Lutheran Church in Medical
Lake, WA. She was a current member of Moss Bluff Bible
Church. She loved neighborhood birthday nights and
playing Po-ke-no with the neighbors. She is survived
by her loving husband of 28 years, Randall Cheaney;
two sons, Matthew and Christopher Cheaney, both of
Moss Bluff; one brother Bradley Stearns of Tyndall AFB
in Panama City, FLA; four sisters, Pattie, Jackee and
Jamee Stearns all of Medical Lake, WA and Terrie
McWhorter of Layton, UT; her parents Sharalyn and
Ralph Stearns of Medical Lake, WA and her grandmother,
Vivian Dean of Medical Lake, WA. Her funeral was held
on Wednesday, December 6th at the Johnson Funeral Home
in Lake Charles, LA. Burial was held in Highland
Memory Gardens in Lake Charles. The Rev. Ed Rose,
