COULTER, Mary Jean (Poage) December 4, 1919 - July 15, 2007 (Age 87) Had a heavenly homecoming with her LORD and SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, July 15, 2007. She was a longtime Spokane resident, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Born in Spokane, WA, raised in Palouse until high school, graduated from Lewis and Clark H.S. in 1936, she attended W.S.C. for two years, meeting and married to her life-partner, best friend and the love of her life, Norman, for nearly 67 years. After raising two children as a stay-at-home mom, she went back to school and earned a B.A. and M.A. in education from Whitworth. She was an elementary school teacher in Spokane for six years and in Othello for 13 years before retiring in 1976. She was one of the founders and charter members of Audubon Park United Methodist Church. Other memberships included her Fidelia women's church circle, East Central Senior Center, and educational organizations. Her hobbies and interests included hosting Bible studies in their home, spending time at their Priest Lake home, taking classes, reading about nature and identifying wild flowers, birds, butterflies, mushrooms, dancing, traveling, making albums and scrapbooks, playing bridge, working crossword puzzles, attending Super Pop Symphonies, shopping and luncheons. Survivors include her husband Norman; son Jim; daughter Norma Jean; grandchildren Shannon, Wendy, Tara, Craig; and great-grandchildren Lauren, Danna, Kyla, Madeline, Ava and Austin. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 28 at Audubon Park United Methodist Church, 3908 N.
