Donald James Cool
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in the Chapel of the Pines in Camp Sherman for Donald "Don" James Cool, who died April 6 at age 82.
Mr. Cool was born June 21, 1922, in Kansas City, Mo., and moved to Portland as a child. He graduated from Grant High School and Portland State University. He was a budget analyst for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and moved to Camp Sherman in 1987. In 1947, he married Clara Sorenson.
Survivors include his wife; sons, James G. and Lyle E.; daughters, Wanda Stevens and Donna Thomas; and four grandchildren.
