Patricia Podas COVELL 

Patti was born in Seattle to Virginia Nathan Podas and
Frederick Podas on June 21, 1921. She graduated from
Edmonds High School and attended the University of
Washington where she was a member of the Alpha Chi
Omega Sorority. She married Bob Covell in 1946 and
they spent their first two years together in Europe.
When they returned to Seattle, Patti was active in
charitable work and was president of The Seattle Day
Nursery Junior Auxillary. Later they lived for many
years in in Sydney, Australia and Maui, Hawaii but
eventually returned to the Seattle area. Pattie was
preceded in death by her sister Marylu Dent and is
survived by her husband Bob, her son and
daughter-in-law Larry and Melody Covell and her
grandson Scott, her sister Nancy Medin of Edmonds and
several nieces and nephews. Patti passed away on March
21, 2004. A loving wife and mother, a loyal friend and
a great hostess she was much loved and will be greatly
missed by those who knew and loved her. Remembrances
