Dorothy Elsie Carlton died July 22, 2003, at age 88.
Dorothy Parks was born Aug. 30, 1914, in Grand River, Mo. She lived in Portland for more than 50 years. She worked for Boeing during World War II and served three years in the Peace Corps. She worked as a waitress and a private duty nurse.
Survivors include her daughter, R.J. "Kitty" Hedensten; and sister, Fern Scott.
