Connie Sue Chavez, loving wife of Xavier "Charlie" Chavez, passed away May 28, 2003. Connie was born on August 27, 1937 in Risco, Missouri. While working for the Air Force as a teacher she met and married her life long partner. Together, in 1980, they settled in Kirkland, Washington to raise their three children, Elisa, Cris and Angie. She is also survived by two step children, Xavier Jr. and Rita and her eight grandchildren: John Paul, Joseph Kolbe, Ashley, Nicholas, Briana, Katarina, Denise and Alfred. Connie, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend now joins her granddaughter, Emma Grace. She will be missed by all she touched. The family is planning a gathering at the family home June 28 at 2 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations to Children's Hospital of Seattle are welcome.
