Born in San Francisco to Ralph and Esther Allen on 7/6/23. Passed on 6/8/03. Widow of the late Cornelius Chavelle. One daughter, Kimberly O'Conner and two grandchildren, Katie Marie O'Conner and Michael Chavelle. Former Seattle Police Officer and Juvenile Court Social Worker. Kay attended Montlake Grade School, Garfield High School and was a UW alumna and a member of Pi Beta Phi. She enjoyed traveling. Her oft-heard lament: "I've been to every place on the planet except the wilds of Africa and Antarctica." A lover of animals, Kay mourned the loss of her late dog, Penny. She enjoyed her "menagerie" of stuffed animals. Kay will be sorely missed by all and especially her daughter, Kimberly, who treasures special times, when mom and daughter reaffirmed their love. A memorial to Kay's life will be held at the Elliott Bay Station of Seattle Yacht Club, on Monday June 23, between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
