Calvin J. Covell
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2002, in New Beginnings Christian Center of Astoria for Calvin J. Covell, who died July 14 at age 65.
Mr. Covell was born Jan. 2, 1937, in Wickenburg, Ariz. He was ordained in 1998, and was the senior pastor at New Beginnings Christian Center of Astoria for four years. In 1983, he married Alica Betz.
Survivors include his wife; sons Calvin Jr., Ray, and Joshua; daughters, Deborah Shook, Dana Covell, Rochelle Wetmore and Chenaniah Covell; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
