| A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, in Willamette National Cemetery for Francis James "Jim" Curnow, who died Nov. 12 of pancreatic cancer at age 68. |
| Francis James Curnow was born Nov. 24, 1939, in Pottsville, Pa. He served for 10 years in the Navy, including in the Vietnam War and received two Bronze Stars. He graduated from the University of West Florida. He lived in Pensacola, Fla.; Sacramento, Calif., and Seattle before returning to Portland in 2004. He was a regional manager for Shilo Inns. |
| Survivors include his daughters, Beth Curnow and Kathi Harpst; son, Patrick; sisters, Helen Williams, Kay Azoulay, Sherry Doornink and Gail Curnow; brothers, Bart and Tom; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. His son Scott died in 2006. |
